- if he's insecure or highly sensitive to rejection (hey we all are, aren't we?) then even a perfect excuse can lead to self-doubt. i also think because you told him to get in contact with you the next time he's in town it still seems like a brush off. if you suggested a specific time/date/whatever for the next round then that would help things but you threw it back to him making it seem like a brush off. you turned him down but then you still ask him to carry the burden. i'd email him or something while he's in town and you're out of town just to make him know you thought of him.

- misskitty, hey i read your thread and first i must say yes i wholeheartedly agree with you about guys not going for it or not pursuing you in a "normal" bold way. it's like they'll do 99% but that final 1% of being direct about their intentions...it's all on you to finish it off. and to me the situation comes off very neutral/friend-like. but if you meant more and he meant more then your response seemed like a brush off...contd...
