Is this common of Pisces?
I have only been around 2 Pisces in my life; one male one female.
A girlfriend of mine that I grew up with was a Pisces, so I got to know her very well.
She always hooked up with guys who caused lots of drama, and stayed with them (tho complained the whole time) for years! In other words, she seemed to be drawn to unhealthy relationships --and stayed in them.
Besides that, there was this one thing about her that I had never experienced with any one else until recently... she had this goofy/funny side to her:
She would come up with this off the wall stuff, and sometimes it was hilarious, and other times it was just random & it seemed there was no place for it, but it was just her. Not sure how to explain it exactly (I havent seen her in 2 years), but she had this fun energy & out of the blue would just say, or do, or react, in ways that were just totally unique & it just took some getting use to.
Recently I met a Pisces male. He is the ONLY other person that I have even met that would do the same thing,... just say something totally random, or say or do something goofy, totally unexpected, out of the blue. And it's just the way he is, as was the way my old friend was.
It's so hard to put into words what I am trying to say. Maybe someone else has experienced it?

Astrology doesn't say that Aqua + Pisces make the best match BUT from what I've read about personal experiences, they seem to make a pretty good match.
Astrology says that b.c the signs are beside each other that there is friction. While there was definitely friction at times b/t my old friend and I, I can honestly say that I've never had as deep of a connection with any other friend as I had with her.
And yeah... I've had a lot of people tell me that I'm weird over the years too.
Actually, I don't think I'm the one that's weird lol

I'm a guy, and i'm always told that i'm extremely hillarious. I'm very random at times, I'll say things that have nothing to do with what's going on....but because everyone knows i'm funny, its gotten to a point that even if i say something random everyone laughs regardless. i'm not really on the goofy side of funny though. i dont know any other pisces, but i'm exactly how you described your friends :)

Just beware of younger Pisces males.
They can be a little more prone to straying in the relationship than the more mature ones.
Loyalty and personal responsibility are much stronger in the older ones.

Sure it's common!
Regarding the first friend clinging to painful relationships - this is very common in the Pisces. It's almost like this selfless pursuit of tragedy. The mutability factor. Your friend may have completely lost herself in the flawed relationship, putting her heart and soul into it, and constantly being disappointed. However the alternative of being alone was even more terrifying than having to deal with the heartbreak. The fish feels things on very deep levels. It's a good and bad thing to be extremely sensitive, a major good part of it is that we can easily empathize with those who need understanding and a human connection. The downside is that our own hearts can be easily crushed. Your friend stuck with these men because if she lost them then she actually loses a part of herself, and probably was quite depressed when the relationships did end (and I'm sure she tried to not show how much pain she was dealing with, even though it was probably quite apparent to everyone around her - Pisces are not good at hiding our pain).
Regarding the random humor, this is two-fold. The extreme empathy/ability to connect to others enables us to know what can bring a smile or giggle to another's face. And the randomness comes in from the extremely creative imagination of Pisces. When your friend or this new gentleman say random things it is a glimpse into the ever-constant imagination inside their heads. They say that Pisces live on another level from everyone else. They dwell in a state of the combination of their imaginative thoughts and actual realty.
If a Pisces makes you smile, then they are certainly worth knowing!

As far as my friend goes, I can totally see that now!
Oh, I also know a Pisces female thru reading her blogs, and she has been with the same guy for 8 years. She is a stripper in Vegas and her blogs are so interesting to read (http://profile.myspace.com/kellydoll_). She has stuck with a guy who has used her, cheated on her numerous times, hurt her in ways that I couldn't imagine... and she is till by his side. Your explanation sounds like it fits her perfectly too.
Anyway, as far as the random, funny ways of a pisces, like no one else I've ever seen... that makes sense too :)
